Antarctic Animals

My favourite animals are the Arctic and the Antarctic animals. Some are really so cute and some have really good abilitys. 4b is setting a really good display on Antarctic Island. It´s going to look really good!!!

Polar Bears

Polar bears roam the Arctic ice sheets and swim in that region's coastal waters. They are very strong swimmers, and their large front paws, which they use to paddle, are slightly webbed. Some polar bears have been seen swimming hundreds of miles from land—though they probably cover most of that distance by floating on sheets of ice

Emperor Penguins

Emperor Penguins are the largest of all penguins, it measures 115 cm, and it is really a beautiful penguin. They live on the Antarctic ice, that is surrounded by frigid waters. They get together and huddle together in small groups, so the wind is not effective on them. The wind is 76°F (-60°C). They adapt very easily to the cold of Antarctica because they have dense feathers that protects them from the cold
